What do I need to bring for my surf lesson?
We recommend bringing swimwear, sunscreen, a towel, and a water bottle. We’ll provide surfboards, rash vests, and free photos!
What if the weather is bad on the day of my lesson?
We keep a close eye on the weather and ocean conditions. If the weather isn’t suitable for surfing, we’ll reschedule your lesson or offer a refund.
Are surf lessons suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! Our lessons cater to all skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced surfers looking to refine their technique.
How do I get my free photos?
After your lesson, check out our Facebook photo album to find your photos where you can download all your photos at no extra charge!
How long are the surf lessons?
Each lesson lasts 3-4 hours, giving you plenty of time to learn, practice, and enjoy the waves!
Do I need to know how to swim?
Basic swimming ability is recommended, but our lessons are designed for beginners. Our instructors will make sure you’re safe and comfortable in the water.
Can I book multiple lessons or a multi-day package?
Yes! We offer multi-day packages, and if you book your first lesson online, you’ll get a discount on the next two days when booking directly with us.
What’s your cancellation policy?
We offer full refunds for cancellations made at least 48 hours before your scheduled lesson. Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a fee.
Why do lesson times vary?
Our surf sessions are scheduled around the daily tide cycles to ensure your safety and the best possible experience.
Tides influence wave conditions and beach safety, so we time our lessons to align with optimal conditions, typically around mid-to-high tide for safer, more consistent waves.

Really worth it! Super friendly instructors, especially Pauly, great explanations and a really relaxed atmosphere. They take the time to help everyone properly, bring you to a quiet beach spot, and you even get free photos. Highly recommend!

Aaron was a great instructor! He was good at giving pointers while also giving me room to try some things out on my own. I had never touched a board in my life before this lesson, and by the end, I was actually catching waves. Absolutely book this tour, these guys know what they’re doing, and it’s the best price I’ve seen anywhere on the east coast.
Fantastic surf lesson in Agnes Waters. We had a 10-year-old and two adults in our 40s, and all of us managed to get up and stand on the board, which was a great result.Lorenzo was calm, patient and really encouraging throughout, which made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable.Although it is based out of a backpackers and may seem geared toward younger travellers, we found it suited everyone. Even folks in their 40’s (lol)Highly recommend for anyone keen to give surfing a go and have a genuinely good time.
